Your Never Alone

Your Never Alone

This is for all my BEAUTIFUL  Mom Friends that are struggling or feeling like you can’t get it right or trying to understand why the children are in the Hospital and you feel so helpless! Let me say this we are strong, we are courageous, we are fighters, we are lovers, we are carers, we are selfless, we are educators, we are advocates, everyone of us whether it’s your child or a family members, it could be friends regardless of the circumstances we are Warrior Mothers. Our Children are so blessed to have you and all of us in their corner and in their lives. When it seems like you have lost faith remember you have not lost faith you have just lost hope and sometimes that happens.

When you live with Epilepsy 365 days a year 24 hours a day 7 days a week it does get tough, we so often think  ”Why do I feel so alone?”  ”Why do people not understand?” “Why is it my Doctors don’t always hear me?” when your faced with all that who wouldn’t lose hope. The Children have so many rough days imagine having constant seizures every day sometimes every hour and not being able to control it.  Imagine having your child take countless amounts of medication every day and listening  to them tell you they don’t want to take their meds anymore. It breaks a Mothers heart because we don’t have a cure yet so they have no choice.  Imagine what it is like to have a child you love more than this world and they can not communicate with you and again their is nothing you can do about it why because its what Epilepsy does it robs our children of any quality of life, it steals the sweet innocence of childhood. It takes and takes from us sometimes so overwhelming us.

Epilepsy it is a parents worst nightmare, it has taken the lives of so many of our beautiful children, it has broken families, destroyed marriages and whats even worse is that its the least talked about. That is going to change this year why because their is an army of Warrior Mothers forming and we are going to make a difference and do whatever is necessary to talk about it and educate as many people as we can we are going to get everyone seizure smart this year.

As you know I am very spiritual I have a strong and deep faith and yes even I have my moments of weakness we all do its normal we are human beings. Faith is more than knowing God can, faith is believing God WILL and In those times I can’t seem to find God I sure know and can be rest assured He knows how to find me and for that I am so thankful! God loves me enough to not always “come to my rescue” in my trials, but to walk me through them and again for that I am grateful because sometimes we just have to learn to figure it out for ourselves. So in the moments that your feeling alone know this Your Never Alone, God is their with you, he hears our cries, he hears, our pain, he feels our anguish, he feels our frustrations and anger, he cares for us and for these children, he comforts us, and protects them. Remember the story that God told the child when the child asked

“Oh God If I am to leave now, Please tell me my new angels name.”

Sweetly God looked at his child and whispered, “You will be calling your Angel by another name, you will simply call her MOMMY.”

You are those Angels, We are those Angels for these Children remember God does not choose the qualified he qualifies the chosen, that means you, it means all of us God  knew we would do everything we could in his name but also in the name of the children. This is one of the most cherished poems of the last century it so reminds me of God’s love and that he truly never does leave us even in our most crucial times of despair or anguish he is with us he is as close too us as breathing.

FOOTPRINTS

One night I dreamed I was walking

Along the beach with the Lord.

Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.

Sometimes there were two sets of footprints.

Other times there was just one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed that

During the low periods of my life when I was

Suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat.

I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord. “You promised me.

Lord, that if I followed You.

You would walk with me always.

But I noticed that during the most trying periods

Of my life there have only been

One set of prints in the sand.

Why, when I have needed You most.

You have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,

“The times when you have seen

only one set of footprints

Is when I carried you”

During these times on your journey with epilepsy let this be a reminder to you all that if you trust God to carry you through he will. When we trust God with our first, our best, and our last we open the door for his miraculous provision. Trust is about ever increasing depths of surrender. The more you walk your faith journey with the Lord you will realize just how absolutely true this is. It starts with TRUST.

None of you have to walk this journey alone, to think I started our facebook group page just as a place where we could get support and look where we are today. We all are helping each other get through this and by the amazing grace of god we will win this fight. You have lifted my spirits up so many times and helped me believe when I needed encouragement. Real encouragement that makes a lasting difference is visionary. It is the willingness to imagine a good future, the choice to believe in a better world. It is not critical, tearing people down and nitpicking at their faults, but instead valuing their uniqueness and seeing potential that they may not be able to see for themselves.

In many ways, a true encourager functions as a personal prophet; helping others discover their own potential and make it incarnate in the physical world. Real encouragement sees us as we yearn to be seen, sees others as they long to be seen, and the world as it is meant to be seen.

Yes, there are faults, problems, evil, but their is an original vision that our deepest hearts know is the true vision. Real encourager’s are willing to be fools in the eyes of cynics because they have a great vision. We are educating and sharing our vision and that is what is going to make the difference to so many but mainly for the children.
The more we encourage others to join us the less alone we will feel. May God Bless each and everyone of you its going to be a great walk along the beach.
